Hi, I’m LINDA MACKENZIE.

At Mackenzie Healing, I offer individual, couples, and family counselling, as well as facilitated group work across a wide range of therapeutic focuses. Sessions are available virtually through a secure, professional video platform for health practitioners or in person in North Vancouver.

I hold a Master of Counselling in Counselling Psychology and bring over 30 years of clinical and lived experience to my work. This depth of experience allows me to meet clients with genuine empathy, compassion, and understanding. I have extensive training in addiction, chemical dependency, co-dependency, and trauma healing, and I am deeply passionate about supporting individuals and families through these life-changing experiences. I am also an approved Clinical Supervisor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).

My approach to counselling is grounded in evidence-based practices that support meaningful and lasting change. Treatment is always trauma-informed and tailored to each client through thoughtful assessment, collaboration, and individualized treatment planning. I draw from a variety of therapeutic models to best meet each client’s unique needs and goals.

I am a registered provider with the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) in British Columbia, allowing me to offer counselling services to victims of crime and accept referrals from Victim Services. Counselling fees may be covered through CVAP with an approved claim number. When booking a session, please let me know if you plan to use CVAP so we can discuss fees and options. Clients may also choose to pay for sessions directly and submit invoices to CVAP for reimbursement.

Rights of Being Human
Written by Linda Mackenzie

We are born equal and with inherent value.
We have the ability to meet our own needs and the needs of others, unless hindered.
We need to love and be loved, and to feel safe—physically and emotionally.
We have the capacity for thinking and feeling, creativity and intuition.
We are allowed to make mistakes and to learn from them.
We have the capacity for forgiveness, humility, and growth.
